Today I want to describe my impression of this new language with which it is possible to create games in the HTML5 format and therefore playable directly in browsers enabled for it.
On the internet there are many games for browsers, ranging from the flash format to those that require us to download the appropriate plugin.
html5 is instead a new language format for the web, not yet completely fixed and mature, but already present in the latest browsers.

HTML5GameCreator is It was created by Tizzio and you can find the manual and demos on the relevant website html5gamecreator.net ( site no longer exists 😢 ) .
The main characteristic of this language is that it is very similar to the GML language of the famous Game Maker program. This means that it will be easier to use for those who already know that language.

The downside is probably (at least for now) the impossibility of creating a very high performance game for which I always consider standalones better. The pro, however, is the possibility of placing a banner alongside the game that brings its creator very small revenues.

For now, programming takes place by modifying the javascript code also using the BlockNote and therefore (if the code is long) it is perhaps a little messy... but I find it practical to view the game and at the same time modify the code from BlockNote.

Let's hope now that Tizzio will be able to complete his fantastic language with the addition of all the (or at least many other) functions of the GML 😀

Canvas is the view (window or rectangle) where the game will be drawn.
In one of my demos that I will soon put online, to increase the fps which were poor on my PC I remedied this by decreasing the length of the screen view itself and replacing the background with one outside the canvas.

Personally, with this tool, I was able to create some games and demos that you can find on this site of mine, in the html5 category.
